Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems and networking protocols, as well as excellent problem-solving skills to ensure smooth IT operations within the organisation.
You will be working both remotely and onsite directly with clients as needed to provide advise and support or to install new hardware or software.

Duties

Provide first-line support for IT issues via help desk channels, ensuring timely resolution of user queries.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems on Windows platforms.
Assist users with VPN connectivity issues and ensure secure access to company resources.
Remotely manage On-Premises Windows based servers including AD & Virtualisation
Maintain and configure desktop environments, ensuring optimal performance for all users.
Monitor network performance and security, including IPV4 configurations, to identify and rectify connectivity issues.
Proactively manage clients security including AV, Firewalls & Server Access Policies
Document support requests and resolutions in the help desk system for future reference.
Review client hardware and recommend upgrades or replacement equipment as needed
Troubleshoot, provide workarounds when necessary, and take full ownership of support tickets through to successful resolution.
Manage Cloud Services to include Office 365 Tenancies (Exchange, Sharepoint, OneDrive) Backup systems and Security Platforms.
Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and improvements.
Provide onsite support for customers when needed.
Adaptable and flexible with changing priorities and business growth

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years experience in an MSP / IT support role with a strong understanding of Windows Server environments.
Solid knowledge of networking principles and protocols (DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
Experience with various operating systems, including Windows 10/11.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficient in troubleshooting VPN connections and desktop support issues.
Access to own transport.
High attention to detail in documentation and system monitoring
