SUMMARY
Aztec Oils are currently recruiting for a Plant Operator to work for a busy Business in Bolsover, Derbyshire. This would be a Permanent role and an opportunity to be part of an exciting team and grow existing skills. The Business is fast-paced and has been growing year on year creating new roles within the Business.
PRIMARY LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Filling barrels, IBCs, containers with product according to instruction, regulations, and guidelines
Professional approach in the packaging of finished products
Loading and unloading of products/raw materials from vehicles
Moving/transporting products/raw materials to assist stock management
Operating forklift trucks according to instructions and regulation
Communicate with co-workers to ensure the smooth operation of the production plant
Operate all equipment responsibly and effectively for optimum production output
Assist operations manager as instructed
Yard duties as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Computer work, SAGE, Outlook, and printer programmes (changing media)
Complete stock checks
Keep all equipment in good working order and report any issues to the line manager
Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed and promoting a good H&S culture on Site
Load and check finished orders to ensure all quality checks are completed before the order is dispatched
Promote a high standard of housekeeping on-site
Adopt a work ethic of continual improvement and error-proofing
KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Forklift certification, VNA lifting truck license desirable but not essential as training can be provided
Previous experience using automated filling machines/lines would be advantageous but not essential
Experience of 5S, 6 Sigma desirable but not essential
Good communication skills
Good time management
Willingness to extend working hours where appropriate.
Professional approach to all tasks set
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
Willingness to extend job responsibilities to assist co-workers and ensure the smooth operation of the production plant.
Capability for any potential heavy lifting.
Must be PC literate, Sage X3 Knowledge desirable
