Overview
As an AV & Warehouse Engineer, you will split your time between installing AV equipment on-site and managing stock inventory in the warehouse. You will be responsible for setting up AV and digital signage systems at customer locations while also ensuring smooth warehouse operations, including stock tracking, equipment preparation, and logistics support.
This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to working with AV and warehouse tasks. Full training will be provided
Responsibilities:
AV Installation & Commissioning (Field-Based Tasks)
Install and configure TVs, video conferencing systems, digital signage, iPads, routers, and network devices at construction sites.
Perform software configurations (e.g., Microsoft Teams, digital signage platforms).
Ensure neat and safe cable management.
Conduct firmware updates, system testing, and troubleshooting.
Program and configure touch panels and control systems.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance visits to resolve faults.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
Use the CRM system to manage and update stock inventory.
Book in deliveries, create assets, and label stock for tracking.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
Pick and pack goods for deliveries, ensuring accurate order fulfilment.
Handle and prepare AV equipment for installation, ensuring correct storage and maintenance.
Assist in managing returns, repairs, and stock movement.
Customer Interaction & Safety
Provide on-site demonstrations and training to clients after installation.
Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed during installations and warehouse operations.
Adhere to manual handling best practices when moving heavy AV equipment.
Required Experience:
· Full UK Driving Licence (fieldwork required).
· Experience in AV installation or warehouse/logistics is beneficial but not essential.
· Good knowledge of hand and power tools.
· Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
· Comfortable working in a construction site and warehouse environment.
· Basic IT knowledge (experience with CRM systems is a plus).
· Ability to lift and move heavy items using correct lifting techniques.
· A proactive, problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn.
