About the Role:

Job Title: Part-Time Café Assistant & Content Creator
Contract: 8 hours per week
Days: Split over 2 days, including weekend working
Location: Bernicia House NE15 8NY

Your main responsibilities will include:

Preparing and serving coffee, sandwiches, and desserts with care and attention
Providing excellent customer service in a warm, friendly manner
Running the café independently during your shift
Keeping the café clean, tidy, and welcoming
Leading our social media presence by creating, posting, and managing content that showcases what makes our café special

Social Media Responsibilities: We want someone who can bring our brand to life online. You’ll be responsible for:

Capturing high-quality photos and videos of food, drinks, and the café environment
Writing fun, engaging captions that reflect our tone and community vibe
Drafting and scheduling content for platforms like Instagram and Facebook
Using hashtags, trends, and reels to increase reach and engagement
Responding to comments and messages to help grow our online presence

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience working in a café, coffee shop, or similar hospitality environment
Ability to work confidently and independently during your shifts
Proven skills in creating social media content.
A good eye for design, styling, and visual storytelling
Strong written communication and time management
A positive, can-do attitude and genuine love for food, coffee, and people

Bonus Points For:

Barista skills
Experience with content planning tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety
