This exciting opportunity is for an enthusiastic and creative graduate to join the University of Wolverhampton’s dynamic Marketing team. As a Graduate Intern – Social Media and Content Creation, you will play a key role in enhancing the University’s online presence across various social media platforms. You will support the creation of engaging content, monitor social media channels, and contribute to the development of impactful marketing campaigns.

About the Team
Our Marketing team, part of our Recruitment and Partnership Directorate is a diverse and supportive group of individuals who are passionate about promoting our university and attracting new potential students to university. We offer flexible working hours and a hybrid working model (onsite and remote) to support a balanced and fulfilling work-life experience.
The Marketing Team is led by our Deputy Director, Brand and Marketing, supported by Marketing Managers, you will be reporting directly to the Brand Marketing Manager. You will work alongside and have the support of the Faculty Marketing Officers, designers, copy writers and a web team. You will have access to the support of the wider directorates team including Social and PR professionals, all working together to support brand development and student recruitment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the creation and delivery of high-quality social media content:

Develop engaging content (text, images, videos) for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) to promote the University’s activities and initiatives.
Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and direct messages, and respond promptly and professionally to inquiries.
Assist in the development and implementation of social media campaigns.

Support campus events and activities:

Capture high-quality photos and videos at University events (e.g., Open Days, Graduation Ceremonies) for use on social media channels.
Create engaging content (e.g., blog posts, short videos) to showcase event highlights and student experiences.

Enhance the University’s online presence:

Ensure all social media content aligns with the University’s brand guidelines and messaging.
Monitor social media trends and identify new opportunities to engage with target audiences.

Your Profile
Proven track record of success in creating engaging content

Experience produce high-quality video content
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Passionate about higher education: Share our commitment to making education accessible and enriching lives.
You will be an enthusiastic and proactive individual who approaches their work in a positive, innovative and professional manner

Other Features of Post:
Some occasional work outside of ‘normal’ working hours required to support key recruitment events such as Open Days and Applicant Events. You may be required to represent the University at external events.
