We are looking for one individual to join our signage design & production team. Training will be provided across all aspects of the position, but it is important to already have some experience. This could be in design with good knowledge of PhotoShop or Illustrator, or in production with knowledge of printing and the signage process.

Fastsigns of Hatfield & St Albans is a signage and large format printing company looking for a design and production person to join the busy & growing team. Working predominately in the Hertfordshire area, FASTSIGNS works with local businesses to deliver their signage and branding needs. Whether it’s vehicle graphics, building signage, banners or boards, we are here to help.
With the company now in its 5th year, we have an opening in the design and production area of the business. This position would suit a person with either design or production experience looking to take their skill set to the next level, learning both sides of printing and production.
FASTSIGNS has in-house large format printing (both roll-to-roll and flatbed) along with CNC cutting and routing. We produce as much as possible in-house and outsource larger built-up, illuminated and fabric signage.
Our goal for the new employee is to work with them in developing their skills so they can assist in all aspects of the business. As a small company, everyone has to play their part.
The key responsibilities and day-to-day tasks will include

Creating visuals for client approval – This would include using PhotoShop and Illustrator to produce mockups and designs for the client to review.
Printing both approved and supplied artwork – Printing artwork onto the required media via various printing methods before cutting or plotting.
Laminating, cutting, mounting & plotting – Finishing the product as required for delivery. This could be weeding or trimming by hand, cutting or routing with CNC or mounting onto another material.
Looking at the work in progress – Updating and scheduling jobs on the system to ensure all are delivered on time and prepared for the installers as needed.
